Cargo Aircraft Overruns Runway in Haiti

A cargo aircraft overran the runway during landing in Haiti, resulting in an accident under rainy weather conditions. The Embraer ERJ-145 was unable to stop after touchdown, exited the runway, struck a perimeter fence, and came to a halt on a nearby road.
The aircraft, registered N271BC, was operating flight II4761 for IBC Airways, carrying cargo from Miami to Haiti.
As a result of the incident, the nose landing gear collapsed, and the forward fuselage sustained damage. Authorities have launched an investigation, and no fatalities or injuries were reported.
